My Middle Boys’ Room

This post may contain affiliate sales links. Please read my disclosure policy.

I have been meaning to post my boys’ finished room for a while and I’m so glad I found the time to share it today! Blake and Eddie are sharing a room in our new home and after finding a good configuration for the furniture that allowed them enough space to play, it was time to figure out how to make it cute and comfortable. Took me a hot minute to get items that made sense for their space that were practical, but I’m done and happy to check this off my to-do list.

While I’m not a designer by any means and refuse to steam any bedding to get that “perfect” look, I’m really happy with how this room turned out. My boys are typical dirt, dinosaur, outdoor, lego-loving kids so I tried to use greys, greens and natural wood while still re-using and making sense of the furniture we brought from our apartment in NYC.

I put a source list at the bottom of this post incase you are wondering what I got where.

Source List

I painted the walls Sherman Williams Night Owl on three walls and Agreeable Grey on one wall. I originally was going to only paint one wall that darker green color since I didn’t want the room too dark. But one wall had big windows and another had two big white closet doors, so it made sense to paint those green as well. Really happy I did that.

The white beds are from our deconstructed triple bunk bed.

Lamps over the beds from Amazon here.

Boys duvet covers are from ikea, as well as the army green throw pillows.

Striped throw pillows are from Target. They are no longer available but similar ones here.

Natural Wood floating shelves are from Target.

Mount Hood and Mount Adams art is from Etsy. I bought the digital prints, then printed it pretty inexpensively (under $10) at Office Depot and slapped them into some picture frames.

Bookshelf is from Amazon in Salt Oak color (and for under $200!)

Baskets are both from Target.

You can hardly see the wicker hamper we have, but we own three (one for each kids room) and love them!! We bought them when we first moved to New York and haven’t parted with them. Money well spent!

You did great. Love the position you placed the beds, perfectly leaving move around space, on the floor. The colors are perfect for this room.
