Pumpkin Dip, perfect for Fall!

I love sweet and tasty treats, especially when they involve pumpkin! Actually, I am one of those people who never get sick of all things pumpkin. See my huge pumpkin recipe archive as proof.

This is a sweet pumpkin dip that is made with cream cheese, instant vanilla pudding, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and heavy cream. It’s light, fluffy and particularly extra tasty served with any kind of oreos. I’m not picky, the original chocolate or golden oreos are juuuuust fine by me.

Main Ingredients Needed

This Pumpkin Dip Recipe uses pantry staples and can be whipped together (literally) in 15 minutes! Here’s what you need:

  • Cream Cheese – thick, creamy, tangy goodness that is the base of this pumpkin dip!
  • Pumpkin – this is the same pumpkin you use for pumpkin pie. I like the Libby’s brand best.
  • Vanilla – for flavor.
  • Instant Vanilla Pudding – used for flavor and to keep this dip thick.
  • Brown Sugar – to sweeten.
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice – enhances all of the pumpkin flavors! A simple cinnamon-nutmeg mix works just as well.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream – to make this dip light and fluffy.

Could not get “subscribe” to work – waited at least 10 minutes and kept getting messages of what it was doing – finally just got off of it and decided to comment on it.

The kind that comes in a can that is pure pureed pumpkin (with no sweetener or spices added). It’s called different things on different cans. Libby’s is probably the most well know brand.

This dip truly is DIVINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made this for a meeting at work a couple of years ago and my boss was grabbing EVERYBODY and telling them they had to try it since he thought it was the best thing he had ever eaten. I must admit he was right!!!! I made it for our family Thanksgiving dinner that year and everybody devoured this dip. I love it with gingersnaps. You have developed some fabulous recipes and I hate that you are cutting back but with your children getting older and more involved in activities I do understand why. I sincerely wish you the best.

His looks so easy and delicious. I had plans to make all sorts of desserts for your blog this year, but my place has been supplanted by my sister making all the desserts (and I’m trying to avoid the situation that we had last year where we had the number of desserts outnumber the number of people ????).

This one is definitely going to have to be made this year though.

I tried this at a party once, and couldn’t figure out the recipe. I just happened to see this and wow! YUMMY! I love it! Nice alternative to other sweet dips. This is very good.

Made this at Thanksgiving time and will be making it again for Christmas! So easy and delicious. Really hits the sweet spot and is really good with apples slices too. (my grandsons favorite way).

    I modified this by using:
1-3.4oz. box SUGAR Free instant vanilla pudding; &
1/3 cup stevia, instead of brown sugar.

It was so amazing… Thank you for your recipe. I can imagine how decadent and lovely the full sugar version is.

I am trying to use the recipe index and it does not work like any other recipe site. It is not working at all unless I am doing something wrong? I check mark breakfast and hit Search but it does not pull up anything. Please explain how to use your website?

Sounds like you have a whole lot of fun planned ahead! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
Just a question though: the 1 cup of pumpkin, is it pumpkin puree or fresh pumpkin?
    Thanks!

Enjoy your visit here in the nation’s capital! My parents are visiting me and we took in some of the sites you mentioned earlier this week. It’s been a fantastic week weather-wise for visitors. I think I might just make this dip for our thanksgiving dinner!
