Pineapple Ham Glaze | Perfect for Easter!

Looking for something a little more exciting than a classic Brown Sugar Ham Glaze this year for Easter? I’ve got you covered with this simple Pineapple Ham Glaze. It’s still sweet but has that signature pineapple flavor mixed into it. Plus you can use pineapple slices and maraschino cherries to garnish the whole ham (gorgeous)!

This glaze is perfect for Easter, Christmas, or even a fancier Sunday dinner. Find sticky sweetness in between each spiralized or cross-hatched layer. YUM!

Main Ingredients Needed

Five simple ingredients and a quick simmer on the stovetop are all you need to make this pineapple ham glaze! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Pineapple Juice – I love using pineapple juice to add even more delicious flavor to this glaze. Plus you can save the pineapple slices for a garnish on top of the ham!
  • Brown Sugar – this is caramelized while simmering and creates a sticky-sweet glaze.
  • Dijon Mustard – this adds some zingy tang that goes perfectly with the sweet pineapple and brown sugar.
  • Cloves – this is a very strong spice and is classically used in a pineapple ham glaze. If you don’t like cloves, reduce this amount by half (so use 1/8 teaspoon) or omit completely.
  • Salt – to balance out the sweet with all of the other flavors.

  3. Use glaze as desired.

How to Use Pineapple Ham Glaze

Because this is basically all sugar, I’d recommend brushing a little glaze on the ham before transferring to the oven or crockpot first and then using the glaze liberally in the last hour of cooking to get it really sticky and delicious.

I know a lot of you guys have your own preferred methods, so this all-purpose Pineapple Ham Glaze can be used however your little heart desires.

In the photos, it shows that I used the glaze on a Crockpot Ham, but you are welcome to use my basic oven directions for baking a ham (spoiler: its super easy.)
